• Chapter 1 "Her Highness, Queen Betty, has raised the ban on robots and other high technology devices such as infomorphs, super AI computers, mind-distorter rays, and so many others, which were banned after their inability to respond correctly to orders late spring, last year. They are now back to normal and are... to... b..." Diago turned down the volume of his room's television. "Mum! The Queen has changed the laws on the techs!" Diago screamed from his room with excitement. "I know! Good news right?" She responded back. He jumped up and ran to his mini lab. He gently opened his door and halfway ajar, he slid in. He smiled as he stared at Demi, his robot which the connection was powered off mysteriously by the government. He had been working on upgrading Demi to be more human-like but at a point it began to disobey commands and even wanted to run away, before he was eventually powered off from CRHQ, a government lab that controls every high connect

• PROLOGUE The classroom was coloured blue at the bottom and had white on the upper part. All around the room were students in white shirt and red trousers. They appeared to be seven years old in all. They were seated on the wooden floor in form of a pentagon around their master, Master Yark, who had on a white garment with red head tie. Master Yark began to teach his students on the principles of becoming immortal criminals or as they call themselves 'Roaming Tigers'. "Yourself is the master of your destiny. Anything you need to be able to reach any height, is already in you. Consecration and concentration only can bring it out. Today, we move to the Melgushi, the test for the coming death mode. Tomorrow, we'll get to the final test before attempting Gustocano, the training that ends lives. A bare hand fight with Sacura, my pet." The students began to frown, because they knew what that meant - a fight with a real tigress- but they could not move an inch. They

Holly returned to Windland, with her mother. They had relocated to Zurcky, but the past had become the present and the present was now in the past. The plane ride was a smooth one. When they stepped out of the airport, they boarded a cab that took them to an hotel they had booked for online. Holly: I love it here momma. Janise: I know. I used to work here you know! Holly: wow, that's nice. Janise: (muttered some words) Holly: say what? Janise: never mind. ***** Janise handed a bunch of keys to Holly. She searched for the appropriate key, she could use to unlock the front door. Eventually, she found it and slowly tried it. It clang open, somewhat reminiscent of some scary movies, where as the door got opened, a beast or a ghost could appear. Then, they both entered. The room was too dark and it was tough to locate the light switch. Holly pulled up the sleeves of her silver coloured shirt, that matched her silver dyed hair. She brought out a Samsung phone and turned on the li

Dr Janise: oh no. She walked out of the Intensive Care Unit. Clouds of tears were already gathering around her eyeballs. ***** The next day, Mr Logan was taking his early morning beer. He had been fired from work because of his never-ending lateness. Life was so mean to him. The doorbell chimed. Logan: who is by the door? Voice: we have come on behalf of the government. Logan: I am coming there. Just hold on. Logan walked over to the door with his beer bottle still at hand. He opened the door to find two men in suit standing by the door. He looked further backward and saw three police vehicles with heavily armed officers kneeling with a knee. Logan heaved and smiled. Officer 1: are you Mr Logan? Logan: Yes, I am Logan Connor. Officer 1: we are from t.... Logan: weeeeiiit! I know who you are. And I don't care. You are here to arrest me because of a demon right? The alcohol had already affected his thinking ability. He wasn't thinking right anymore. Logan: Don't worr

I took my drink and went outside. I wanted to feel the breeze of the night. The house was feeling hot and I guessed resting outside was the best option. The moon did not shine bright which made me switch on my iPhone light. I was seated on the torn sofa there, sipping my Coca-Cola directly from the bottle and was listening happily to the music I was playing by from my iPod device. I never knew my big bro as I usually call him, had woken up from the noise I made while opening the door to go out. He had picked up a broken mop stick and was stealthily coming to me. I gulped down the last drink in the bottle and stretched my legs forward attempting to take a nap. The stupid mosquitoes made it impossible for the sleep to come. And so I switched off my iPhone light. Big Bro thought it was a thief as the sound I made assured him that someone was there. He looked through the window and saw 'a being' relaxed on the sofa. And my bro hardly calls anyone for help whenever there is a prob

Sh...! My father whispered. We were hiding behind some crates, from some enemies that were passing by. All we could hear were the reedy sounds from gunshots, marching boots and screaming voices. I looked up and saw fear on father's face. I wanted to tell him that men are not to fear, but I just didn't want those enemies to know where we were. Mother and sister had left with a bus to a refugee camp. Father couldn't go because the bus was full and I didn't let father go all alone so I also didn't go with the bus as well. I went on foot with father. Our enemies were three times as large as we were. And they also joined forces with some other countries, which made us feel we would not be able to survive as a country. They were fearless and we, fearful. The reek from decaying and some burning bodies filled the air. And the sun about to set made everything tougher for us. I brought out a wristwatch father bought for me, when it was my 7th birthday. The time was 4:37pm. Wh

"Why is that man always like that?" Helen asked pointing at a man at a corner in the restaurant. "Good afternoon ma!" the counter attendant greeted. "Good afternoon, please does that man even eat here or do you know why he is that way?" "Ma'am we don't know why he is always like that and we've asked if there is any problem but he said we should not bother. Besides he eats here, even though it is only by 2pm." The counter attendant noticed that Helen had stopped listening. Helen was staring at the man. "ma'am, whats your order?" She said aloud to bring Helen's attention back to her. ""oh sorry, please give me the usual." I'll also take a drink." Helen took a drink and went to the man's table. "sir can I sit here?" The man placed his head on the table ignoring her. "hm... I'll take that as a yes!" Helen said and sat down. "Please leave. I am tired of everybody
