AGENT ME (001)

It was one unusual hot night. And coincidentally there was no power
supply. The reason for the power failure is still somewhat mysterious.

Rae could not sleep because of the unusual heat. He sat by his window
and looked into the dark light-forsaken night. The moon was thankfully
at its brightest that night, which made his watch an interesting one.

He saw from his room, how some flies were rolling around graciously.
But he didn't put his focus on it. Instead, he gazed into the sky and
watched the stars. He watched and wondered why some people love to
look at... the sky. He did not see anything attractive in the normal
same old sky. Just as he was about to leave the boring place so he
could catch some sleep, his eyes caught someone or something as short
as his height. Something lone and probably poor. It moved slowly with
it's head glittering like a fire fly.

Rae looked closely and still didn't know what it was. He decided to go
check for himself, but he did not want anyone else in his family to
share this newly found treasure with him.

He walked as fast as possible towards his room's exit door. And
quietly opened the door. He listened carefully as he walked passed his
parents' room and noticed they were asleep. He ran as fast as he could
silently, trying to avoid waking his parents. He ran down the stairs
and went out through the back door.

Afterwards, Rae walked to the little metal fence that demarcated their
compound. He noisily climbed the fence as he was too short. After
about seven minutes of trying to climb the fence, luck smiled on him.
He got down without an injury.

Rae ran to there object which by then, had already gone down the road.
Even though it was moving slowly, it had already covered a lot.

Finally Rae got to it, and fearlessly shouted at it.

Rae: stop there, you ugly thing!

The being stopped moving, but began to become translucent.

Rae: Stop trying to disappear, you short thing!

Strange being: we are of the same height.

Rae: you can talk?

Strange being: why can't I? Of course I can talk.

Rae: why aren't you afraid of me?

Strange being: you ought to be afraid of me, not me of you.

Rae: you are not good!

Strange being: you aren't really mature, now let me go, and I'll come
back to you in the next seven years.

Rae: you are crazy! Seven years is too much.

Strange being: is that your house over there?

Rae: yeah?

Strange being: you have to start going, your father will soon enter your room.

Rae: okay bye!

Rae turned back and wanted to go. But turned towards the strange
little being again.

Rae: can I at least know your name?

Strange being: I am Agent XZIIC1 OATGD 0011678345C01.

Rae: oh you are an alien, right?

Strange being: it is Agent I said not alien.

Rae: fine. Your name is not as short as mine. I am Raedanoran Ebanks Adabrechta.

Strange being: you mean as long as mine.

Rae: yeah whatever.

Strange being: now you really have to start going.

Rae: bye.

Rae turned and began to run home.

He went to the front door and peeped through the doggie door. He saw
the foot of his father. It appeared like he wanted to open the door.

Rae stood up and ran. He ran to the back of the house and used the
back door. He noticed it was opened and realised his father must have
checked there.

He ran hurriedly hitting every object on his way, which as expected
attracted the father's attention.

Rae ran to his room and noisily locked the door.

Rae's father: Rae, is that you?

Rae: no. I am sleeping.

Rae's father: argh! You got me worried. Where were you all this while?

Rae: I can't answer you, because I am sleeping.

Rae's father: open this door!

Rae: I can't hear you cos I am fast asleep.

Rae's father left after a while and went back to sleep.

Rae: seven years. I am just seven years old. So seven years plus
another seven years makes twelve years. No, it is fifteen years.
Fifteen years, nooooo! That's too far! Why fifteen years! No mr Agent
please reduce it to fourteen years at least. Wait, why am I like this?
Seven and seven makes fourteen, why did I say fifteen? Well at least
fourteen is closer than fifteen.
